Top 5 websites and apps for the busy entrepreneur
Dubsado - This is a great CRM for an artist. They not only provide contracts and forms but also have an automated email system to help you stay in touch with clients. This CRM is great to help you keep track of your leads, current and future clients. For a low monthly fee, you can organize all of your content on one easy website. If there is anything you do not understand how to do they have great videos to guide you and a wonderful staff available you help you. I definitely recommend Dubsado to any new or established business owner.
Squarespace - I recently switched to Squarespace from Ipage. Although I page was very cheap Squarespace gave me more flexibility to create as many customizable pages myself. If you are good at figuring out your design web layout, this is a great web host. You can even dig deeper and customize the site, font and colors to match your brand. Since I have been using Squarespace I get more traffic to my website and people say they like my website as it is easy to use and navigate through. Keep it up Squarespace :)
Google Calendar/Business Calendar 2 - this app is my life! I use it to not only track what business I have but also my personal life too, I can use google assistant to put in events for me hands-free. I love the color system I can easily see Orange (brown) is the money-making business, Red is work to get business, blue is for workout, grey is health etc etc…Your google calendar is synced with your Gmail so if you lose your phone you will not lose your calendar. You can also invite your spouse to see the content as well so they can stay up to date with your schedule( if their phone has enough space to download the app... lol )
OnenoteKeep (by google) - this is similar to Evernote you can keep notes on your phone and also see them synced to your computer for up to date back up. This is a great place for me to keep my photography checklists, BNI info, and todo list.
Triplog- this has been an absolute lifesaver for me! I used to track my kilometers the traditional way, have a small calendar in my car and write down the km to and from a job, I would try my best to also write the km every car ride but sometimes a girl can forget. :S This app connects to my cat via Bluetooth and tracks every trip every ride. I can then tell it if it was a business or personal trip. You can write in details so you remember later, for example - Wedding photo job for Jess and Matt” it will tell you the km show you on a map and tell you the distance. You get a monthly email with your km so you don't have to worry about it crashing and losing all of your content. This will make tax season a breeze I just take the year summary and write down my cars business km for the year print out the form and hand it to me accountant :) Done!
In Summary, having systems in place to make your life easier is a great way to free up time and focus on the things that really matter. These are only a few of many apps and sites designed to help you be the best you can be. Please leave a comment below with any recommendations you have found to work great! :)
BONUS: Quickbooks online - this has also been another lifesaver for me. If you are not ready to purchase a subscription for bookkeeping then you can use WAVE which is a great invoicing way of keeping track of who owes you money and how much your business has made or lost. Quickbooks is an easy app that allows you to create and send invoices right from your phone. You can accept credit card payments, see your profit loss summary and organize your banking(Which your accountant will love)
